I'm a software engineer working on the infrastructure behind AI products, the part that has to keep working when the schema is ugly, the question is ambiguous, and someone's waiting on the result.

These days I build agents and the harness that wires them together: orchestration across an NL2SQL engine, a RAG pipeline for unstructured data, and connectors spanning Postgres, Databricks, BigQuery, and spreadsheets. I spend my time building solid backends. Turns out AI agents are more backend than AI.

I'm also working through the math from the ground up. And writing it up as I go.

Outside work I enjoy history and mythology, comics, and enough motorsport to have opinions about it.
